My name is Jennifer and I am the writer behind Hear Her Hands. I am a Deaf, chronically ill, and disabled thirty something. I am married to a Deaf man who works in the private sector for cyber security. We live in Baltimore with our five furry family members – two house panthers and three miniature schnauzers. I am passionate about disability rights and history, but I also make plenty of room for fun clothes, cooking, and being active. When I’m not writing or walking the dogs, you can find me on my mat or at the front of a yoga class as a trauma informed RYT 200 instructor, I believe that although yoga is not necessarily for all people, it can be a valuable tool to learn about embodiment and to begin a healing journey. This blog is where I will continue sharing all my passions with the world in a less academic medium.
